Iron Skillet was born on a Jacksonville street corner in 2018. It hasn't stopped rolling since.
Chef Marcus Powell grew up cooking Sunday dinners with his grandmother in her Jacksonville kitchen. Collard greens, cornbread, smothered chicken โ the kind of food that makes you feel at home no matter where you are.
In 2018, he took those recipes to the streets. Starting with one truck and a handwritten menu, Iron Skillet became a fixture at local food truck rallies, farmers markets, and private events. Today the truck runs six days a week and has catered everything from small birthday parties to 300-person corporate events.
The mission has never changed: bold food, honest ingredients, and a good time for everyone in line.
Every dish is made with the same energy Marcus put into that first backyard cookout. You can taste the difference.
No shortcuts. We source fresh produce locally when possible and make our sauces and marinades from scratch daily.
We grew up here and we give back here. Iron Skillet sponsors local youth sports teams and donates to Jacksonville food banks.
Especially for catering. We know your event depends on us. We show up early, set up fast, and deliver every time.
